Commemorative plaque in Wołpa, Belarus

Glass plaque commemorating Fr. Władysław Jaworowski, born in 1913, vicar of the parish St. Piotr i Paweł in Okrzeja, former student of theology and philosophy of the Higher Theological Seminary in Janów Podlaski. In 1940, Fr. Jaworowski was arrested by the Germans together with a group of more than 40 Poles who were members of the Union of ZWZ (part of the Polish Underground State), mainly of the intelligentsia, including his parish priest, priest Antoni Kresa, priest Konstanty Pabisiewicz and at least 2 other priests. He died on March 13, 1941 in the Auschwitz-Birkenau camp.

The glass plaque was made in the digital printing technique, on satin glass. The old photo has been scanned in good resolution and applied to the back side of the glass, which gave the elegant effect of a smooth shiny surface. The sheet has a point fastening made of stainless steel.
